Hi All

I've been away and busy, sorry for no updates. Everyone's pictures are looking great and the little visitors seem to be having a good time. A.D. has been busy in the last few weeks with visits to a bike festival, a book sale, and yesterday a trip to Vancouver BC for a super shoe sale. All the posts are on his tumblr page, they will be appearing throughout the day today.

Here is a picture of him at the giant book sale

Here's the link- http://littlevisitors.tumblr.com/post/51981042325/5-30-13-doing-some-banking-coffee-giant (I hope I did this right)

Wow, I've become an absolutely dreadful LV host. I need to get back in the swing of things--- school is out now, so I'll have more time to pay attention to Bee!

I got a quick "Where's Bee?" photo when we were cleaning the art room the last day of school. It's a pretty easy one--- I'll try to make a harder one this week.

I also made her a tiny reflective crown, but it's sort of hard to see.

I've found myself with a ton of awesome fabric samples from the Fabric Printing Swap, and I finally got my sewing machine back up after its visit to the repair shop, so I think I'll be making some new clothes for Bee. It should be fun!

Fiance is crafting, and Clyde is helping!

That's the rig we're using to make wire-and-crystal sprigs which will be turned into the bouquets for our wedding!

Sorry I haven't posted this week (has it really been a week? ...or is that "only a week"?).  Our basement wall decided it really didn't like it's position, and decided to move... and being concrete, it had to crack to do it.  And then the monsoon came (seriously, 3" of rain in 45 minutes!).

Poor Violet-Anne has been bored to tears because all we've been doing is moving furniture and getting repairs and cleaning, though today was the bellydance picnic I am too wiped out to upload pictures just now.  She had a great time meeting a bunch of bellydancers, though!

Jay and I traveled from Chicago to the Minnesota north woods, near Bemidji.  While we were getting wood for the campfire we came across this little guy.  He was none to pleased about being disturbed during the day light hours, but little did he know of the scorching that we saved him from.

We made him a little lean to so he would be out of the sun but he eventually flew into the trees.

ATC personal swap? I spy quilt square swap?

Aw, RaeRaggs the little bat is so cute!!

Florida often has a lot of really pretty sunsets. In fact, a lot of the time they kinda go unappreciated because they're "routine" for us! Tonight's though was exceptional and I was able to get a few really pretty shots. I had to cheat a little though and combine two photos because it's pretty much impossible in this kind of lighting situation to get both the foreground (up close) and the background (distance) lit and in focus properly.

This is the kind of thing you get. Either you lose detail in the distance, or the foreground is too dark to make out.

So this is my attempt at a quickie merge of a shot where you can see Anana and one where the sky is properly lit and detailed.

And here is just a shot of the sky itself because it was pretty !

We're still here Smiley Been working a lot of hours so pretty dull for the LV's, but I'm hearing rumors of a fishing trip and possibly a ferry trip to some other small communities here in SE Alaska.Traveling our marine highway is always an awesome experience Smiley

Oh, phoenix, that's just incredible!  Shocked This is how the sky must have seemed to Dante Alighieri when he was travelling through the hells Grin Cheesy Definitely wouldn't stay unappreciated here Smiley (nice sunsets are rare where I live)

Aaand my prophecy was right. We are flooded :/ Decently. Damn it Elbe!
