Well, ok, so not all of time and space, just a few select nebulas and star clusters. Wink

It is spring break here, and like all those who have spare time on their hands I decided that some crafting was in order.
However, I was hopelessly uninspired, and ended up sitting in front of the telly and watching Doctor Who.
A friend of mine and I ended up hanging out watching Doctor Who and surfing Pintrest. (Multitasking for the win!)
Suddenly! Inspiration struck in the form of some ridiculously awesome patterned pants.
A desire was born in our hearts: the desire for nebula pants.

Here's how these pants started out! Super humble black jeans, right?

After a journey of bleach, paint, and lots of waiting for things to dry, I present...

Some detail shots for you:

You see the little saturn-like planet? That's done in glow in the dark paint, so it actually "shines" when you turn out the lights.
I also added quite a few glow in the dark stars, besides just the white paint stars, so they glow too!

This pocket is my favorite! Cheesy

Little shooting star like thing, it was a happy accident when I was splattering the paint to get the little "stars."

Some in progress shorts for you:

After the first bleaching... (I was soooo tempted to stop just then, I love how they look! But I'm glad I continued. Maybe another project, eh? Wink )

While painting! The plastic cover was a must since it was too cold to go outside. You can see my friend's jeans in the upper corner! Her jeans turned red/maroon from the bleach while mine turned yellow. Weird, eh?

I love these pants so much! Cheesy It was an absolute thrill making them, getting to splatter paint everywhere!
I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for looking at my first ever post here!! Cheesy

I never liked skinny jeans for myself. I just bought a pair of black ones to go with a rockin new pair of boots I got and I hated the fit. I actually wished the legs were tighter (believe it or not). Anyways...I think I want to go do this to them right now so I might actually wear them.  Cheesy
Guess Im at the right spot!! lol Here to craft an' chat!! woohoo!!!

Incredibly creative! I love the pocket, too. I won't look at my black jeans the same way again now!

Just going to throw this out there, it'd be really cute to have a tardis flying around on these. Maybe I'll make my own pair with the tardis.
Yours is absolutely beautiful! and I love your socks.
