looks great, Technicolor!

I woke up at 4am today and couldn't go back to sleep, so I got an extra hour or so of knitting done this morning on my Detention project! I'm really liking how the yarn is working up in this pattern, but I'm ready to move on to something else. I shall persevere, though, because a) they're socks and I love handmade socks and b) I've been doing much better about not having knitting UFOs. Crochet UFOs are a completely different story...  Roll Eyes

Ooooooh!  Love the wee carpet!

The bookcase ATCs are so clever!  And the origami basket is just WOW!  Lucky Mum! Smiley

I was so excited to see the classes go up yesterday.  I'm plotting my projects now.  Cheesy

It gets confusing when you have more than one person using craftster!!!! I just tried to post under Technicolors account! Yikes.... LOL Grin

Techni! It does look like a Bomb Pop in that last picture! The pink looks so red.  Smiley

Noodle-bug: I love that fabric! So pretty!

After a sick and sleepless night I came up with another big project to work on! So I thought I would propose an OWL

OWL Proposal
Class: Astronomy--Option 2
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Sailor Moon Garland
Project Description: The name makes what I want to do seem SO simple, but it isn't. I want to include lots of different elements and craft techniques into my representation on the solar system. Sailor Moon was my favorite muggle cartoon when I was a kid. I thought that those scouts were the prettiest! I want to make something that I can hang in my room to remind me of all the things that I love about Sailor Moon. There are 8 planet scouts, Prince Darian, Sailor Moon, and Rini. Those are the characters that I want to include in my garland.
So for my garland I will be making---
-11 kokeshi doll characters
-a felt representation of each planet (including Pluto! Don't care that it isn't a "planet" anymore) and the moon
-a replica of each characters transformation pens
-something to represent each characters attacks
-and finally I want to include the astrological symbol for each planet/character.
All of these elements will be displayed on a crocheted garland.
I think that if I focus on around three characters a week I can have this project finished in about 3 1/2 weeks, definitely sometime after the 23rd (3 weeks from today).

Super excited about all the craftiness that I've got going on! So much inspiration this semester!!!!
I really want to go to Disney World again

owl update...

i think i'm done, .....maybe....i have a really hard time feeling like a project is completely finished, that there isn't something else i could do to make it a tiny bit better. i think it's a little bit procrastination and a little bit perfectionistic. i've actually restarted a few times, and ended up going back to an earlier version.

i've been working on a portrait in watercolors and colored pencils.  i substitute teach, so i've been taking it with me to work on during lunch or breaks. it freaks me out a little bit to have students ask ," are you an artist?" i've been saying yes, or it's a hobby. do you have to actually be able to sell your work to be considered an artist?

it's fully colored now and i've  taken photographs today. i need to email them by monday to enter the art show. having a specific deadline really helped keep me focused......the final edited version will be posted soon!

interested in a private atc swap-i am collecting ATC cards to be framed in a collage and auction to raise money for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma research. (ACCRF) project blog-    atc4acc.blogspot.com
