Oh that is wonderful! I inherited Grandmas sewing supplies to and her thimbles were much too tiny for my fingers, this would be a great way to use them.

lovely. I have an old silver thimble of my grandmother's. It is too small for me and also hsi holes in the top where the needles have worn through with use - so really no longer usable as a thimble but it would make a lovely Necklace. Thanks you so much for the idea  - although yours is so beautiful with the little dangles hanging from inside that I will  never match it.

thanks!  and you're welcome!  but why not give it a try?  you may just surprise yourself.  I wasn't sure about it when I had the idea, but as I worked on it, it started turning into something beautiful!  go on and make something pretty with those worn out thimbles!  Grin

What a touching way to remember your grandmother! Much more personal than stashing it away somewhere or putting it in a shadow box.

thank you SO much kittykill, kbrison, SiFi Mom, and jexxican.  Smiley  I especially like the idea of it looking like a little jellyfish.  they can be so pretty!

note for myself and anyone who makes jewelry; make sure your jumprings are sturdy.  if they aren't, use a pre-soldered ring and attach chains with smaller, sturdy jumprings or solder your flimsy jumprings yourself.  you don't want your jewelry falling apart like this necklace did today.  don't worry, I fixed it with a bit of soldering.  Roll Eyes

So beautiful!  The cascade of quartz on the chains hanging out make it look like a gorgeous graceful jellyfish, or a bell with multiple clappers!

What an amazing memory piece.  Smiley  I bet your grandmother would be proud!
