Sloth-It looks gorgeous!

ellarain? will you be sashing them in the white as well? i LOVED this block and have made 2 baby quilts and one lap size so far with it, but havent added the extra framing sashing to any yet. Smiley. but i love how it looks...

Yes I want to do a 1 inch wide white sashing (the white parts in the block are all inch wide).  I kind of want to sew it right now just to see what it will look like but I think I will wait until I get more blocks.  After all rearranging blocks is becoming a new favorite pass-time Wink.

EllaRain, I just love that quilt layout, what a lovely array of colour too, everyone's used similar tonal ranges too, it gels so well.

I have my wonderful partners to thank for that.  I was a little worried about color when I joined the swap, because I wanted something both colorful and cohesive.  Donniesgirl suggested using a color inspiration piece and as you can see all of my partners took it too heart. I could not be more happy with the result Grin.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

EllaRain and Sloth 003 - love the way your blocks came together! Very pretty. Was really wondering about the layout Sloth was going to use. I love its scrappiness!

EllaRain and Sloth love the layouts!

One of the holiday quilts I am planning is off Sloth's block from this round. It will be done in shades of greens and oranges, with black as the background to each block.

I have three grown step daughters. So they will All get a quilt from this round of Swap.

Hoping to have the rolls complete this week on the shoofly so I can post that part of the quilt. Then just boarder, layer and quilt LOL

well and wonderment

Dittoing the ooos and ahhhs over sloth and Ella's layouts!

And here's a fun little story I've finally remember to pass along:  At my quilt guild meeting in early April I had my blocks for EllaRain with me and while I was showing one of the fabrics I used to somebody, another person saw it and thought Garden Fence was such a great pattern that she showed it around and I was asked to "teach" it at the next meeting -- !!!

I love everyone's layouts!  I've learned so much from everyone this swap -- reading the discussions and seeing everyone's blocks come in.  I'd never participated in any sort of class or quilting group before, so this has been really eye opening for me.

I'm heading into busy season at work, so my finishing work might have to wait a month or two... I'm trying to decide on a color of sashing.. probably something pretty simple.  The blocks were all just gorgeous!

Okay first off sorry for the bad image of the quilt top. With any luck we will have better weather tomorrow and I can get a better picture on the fence.

I got the blocks joined for the Shoo Fly quilt

yes, it is very big, With my two daughters both well over 5'5" tall there is still a roll you can't see at the bottom.

Its close to 90 inches square as is. I am not sure how wide I will make the boarders to finish.

well and wonderment

Greetings Everyone,

So even with texas weather not being much better today, I got better pics, by hanging it over my patio door.

Also measured it while it was hanging and it is 83x83.

well and wonderment
