Hanging out in the woods

Wanting to make a doily dress in the future - I went in search of lace and wonderment in the local charity shops.
I was pleased to come accross a whole bag of bits which I hurridly snipped up at the price of 50p !!!(yes it is "That" charity shop again.
Within the bag were some napkins, heavy on linen with a thin strip of lace. I pondered how to add them to the dress and then decided against it and made these cuffs - using the lace strip as the cuff and circles of the fabric to make roses.
They are attatched via a loop of elastic and a button so that you can stretch them around any tumbler glass adding a little luxury to girls night in dinner parties, Or as you can see you can wrap them around a jar for an instantly beautiful candle (and I have to say the shadows they create on the walls is amazing)
I will be making a bundle of these as christmas presents me thinks !

and in the beginning there was............

LATEST project - I'm compiling a "handed down" recipes boom and so if I get you in a swap, would you be so kind to find a recipe from your childhood. type it up - if you want to decorate, then please do :
