Thanks, everyone!  I have to find the perfect top to wear with my cowl...I think a nice brown will go with it...Cheesy

AM--the yarn in your belt is really lovely...and the binding and cord colors you used picks up the hints of blues and greens in your main yarn...very nicely knit and an unusual accessory...I bet it will also keep your midsection warmer! brrr...such a cold winter!

Yikes, I haven't checked in here and I am way behind on the conversations!
How about rubber tires?  They are free and when I was researching for growing potatoes, they do not leach and harm the veggies or the soil...you can get them pretty much free at a tire place...I got about 10 of them for growing plants, but if you sort of dug them into the terraces, they would hold back your soil...
I think that's an awesome idea, and something you could really get creative with. People already make tire planters, where you cut open and flare out the top and paint them, etc. You could paint them and stack them into a retaining wall, fill them with soil and plants, or you could make a stepped terrace out of them. I think painting them all funky would be so fun! I just did a quick search and found an awesome tutorial to make something like that.

Thank you everyone!  I can't remember who all said what, but the answers are as follows:  Caramel!  Yes that's a good color to call it;  yummy is a perfectly good adjective for yarn;  there's only 29 yards, 10 of it needs to be handed in, and the remainder needs to be crocheted into a swatch.

There are so many pretty knits popping up!  It's all gorgeous!

Whew, ok so now that I caught up with everyone's posts....so many lovely yarny things, now I want to knit again.

I have a dance performance tomorrow, so instead of wearing the same ol' stuff, I've been working on a new costume. I made a new halter top, a huge feather fascinator, and a pair of pantaloons. I haven't made any new costuming in quite a while, so I'm excited to have something different tomorrow! Once I'm all dolled up I'll post pictures. Smiley

@lunamadre: I can't wait to see your outfit! I wish there was a dance class near here. The nearest one is over 60 miles away  Embarrassed So I've contented myself with buying a DVD to try to teach myself.

@alteredmommy: I love feathers too. I have a fascinator tutorial and am eager to get the supplies to make a few.

Today after getting some homework done I was bored and wanted to make something. So after just looking at a bunch of sewing books and magazines I picked out a sewing machine cover pattern. It did not take long and I am very happy I finally got to use some of this fabric. Cheesy

Also I have the top fully completed for my Scooby-Doo quilt and just need to quilt it and bind it. Yay Cheesy
