CLM--you are amazing!  wow...do you just do them on the fly or do you sketch out first?  How do you crank out so many...almost industrial style, yet each one is so unique!  I want to send all my sweaters to you... Grin

OMG I just re-discovered this De Stash-Along. Signed up back in January and then my life went to (_____ insert word of choice here). Sick mom that needed some daughtering...shes much better now, home improvement projects with deadlines. Whew.

We did get the new craft room finished and rather than de-stashing I re-stashed. I think I ended up with more as I gathered all the stashed into one room and they mated. But my goal is to "not buy anything new" for all the upcoming projects.

I have made some great items out of my stash!

A tshirt wrap skirt...three tshirts down!

Soft frisbees from old acrylic yarn - icky stuff that makes great frisbees. These really eat up my stash of yarn bits and pieces. I do multi-colored ones as well, just add in a new color when I run out or feel like it.

And more to come.

I was just looking at your soft throwing discs yesterday!!!  What a tremendous project for the summer...they are just the right project to keep a yarnie busy without getting too hot or bored!

Too cute!

Love the t-shirt skirt,I made one last year (or maybe the year before) and it's the most comfortable skirt ever  Smiley

Thanks for the link to the patchwork wrap skirt CLM. I love that style and have been looking at recycled sari ones on ebay unfortunately they don't make them big enough for me which ticks me off a fair bit as I know a sari is about 6 metres long and my butt aint that big  Wink I have a gorgeous sari I just can't bear to chop it up and make it wearable for me. I wouldn't want to cause offence to anyone by actually wearing it as is although I did teach myself to wrap it properly  Grin

Tshirt skirts are so comfortable. And a great way to use up old shirts. Ask friends, go to garage sales, thrift stores to find shirts too...and you can dye them too since they are cotton.

I used discharge paste for the bleached parts. Just search for it. You can paint it on or use a narrow squeeze bottle. Let it dry, then iron to activate. You never know quite what color it becomes. This actually started out as a summer top, but wanted to be a skirt instead. Grin. Sometimes you just have to let your kids do their own thing.

I did do a tut to go with the skirt. You can keep adding strips until it is long enough.

Checked out the tute, thanks for that!

Big stash of stuff moved to a friend's warehouse for an eventual yard sale, sold 2 vintage chairs to the neighbour (actually, I will end up swapping for items from her store, lol. Have become addicted to nice jewelry which I absolutely cannot afford to buy so trading it is!), big sack off to the thrift store, even bigger sack for my mom, random odds and ends to a couple other people...

...and yet... house over flowing with craft projects, lol! A serious abundance of stuff. I'll be attacking it this week so wish me luck with the pile!

I always imagine you CLM, wherever you are standing, with a flow of items coming into one hand, swirling around you for a bit, some of it becomes wonderful things and the rest then flies from your other hand in to a variety of containers, all destined for the perfect place.  Your amazing Grin

lol great imagery...CLM seems magical indeed

I can't believe I actually used up an entire piece of fabric and a bit of kimono fabric! I had everything I needed in my stash for the last swap...

I had to buy a few yards of pul fabric since I am doing a charity project...most of it should be gone in the one project...

Sigh...I've been adding to my stash, and haven't even been organizing things. I just got a huge stack of scrapbook paper and some very nice beads from someone clearing out their own stash.
On the bright side, I'm working on a swap, and so far I've only had to spend 25 cents. Grin
