alwaysinmyroom, the stitching for the pin is not on wool but I usually work with natural fabrics because I like their feel; this was an artificial suede.

I am glad my crafts made more people smile too  Smiley

If you stick one of the beads (or other items in those vials) to the lid, with some see through tape, you can easily find what you're looking for.

(I hope you all don't mind me jumping into a thread that I am no participant in...)

I do that with all those nails and screws in our workshop...I just glue one to the little drawers on the outside...I don't even have to open the drawer to see what is inside...good idea, BeaG, to tape to the lid...we love for anyone to jump in! Cheesy

Little update-- ya'll may remember me asking how to get musty smells out of fabric.  I tried sticking my brocade in a large paper bag with an inch or so of kitty litter in the bottom.  I left it for a week, washed it, and dried it outside on the line.  It didn't make much difference.  I couldn't make myself leave it any longer than that.  I get impatient.  So I gave up on the brocade.   Embarrassed  But I found that I had enough chunks of a black jacquard to do the job.  Not the weight I wanted, but I lined it with a mid-weight twill.  All's well that ends well, I suppose.  And I might just try the kitty litter thing with a different fabric and leave it longer, since I already have the litter.

The thing about believing that you can do anything is that you actually do things!

It's an explosion of baby stuff around here! I needed a quickie gift for an impromptu baby shower, so I made a receiving blanket and a few more burp clothes.

Appliqued Receiving Blankie - chevron & minky - so soft!!

and a few more embroidered/appliqued burp clothes

I had a similar problem with my bead containers, but I had a different approach. My lids are screw on (so I know they are secure) and I just turned the tubs upside down. It also gives me an idea of how much I have.

craftylittlemonkey very good condensing efforts, you have inspired me; I think I will go back over some of the stash I have organised and downsized and see if it can be downsized even further.

texscrapper I am certain the baby shower gifts must have been appreciated, they are so personalised and thoughtful!
