I have a craft meet up tomorrow, and hope to finish everything but one small part that I need a machine for, so I will hopefully be sending Monday or Tuesday if all goes well.

I was planning on a lot of crafting Thursday night on........ my mom called me Thursday morning at 5:30, dad in the ambulance on his way to the hospital. End stages of COPD. Ugh. He is in intensive care.. We (all of us crafters) never know what can happen tomorrow. I am really hoping to get a few hours in tomorrow and Monday night!

OK Ladies, I am officially freaking out.  My sewing machine just started being grumpy.  The other day I did all sorts of thread sketching with ZERO problems.  Today I changed to a dual duty thread and after 20 seconds of stitching the bobbin thread makes HUGE loops and then proceeds to fully jam.  After I clear the machine, same thing, fine stitching for 20 seconds and then jam. I've made sure that the bobbin is not backwards and all of my tensions are the same as before.  Any advice?  (please please please)

You know, I've been having problems with my machine too when I switch from Guitermann to the cheap Dual Duty stuff. I think my machine's a snob.

Prayers for you Judy.

DFabbric... don't worry about it.

Tension,  re-thread the top as well, change the needle, make sure you have same weight/kind of thread top and bobbin, make sure bobbin case is seated properly.

The only thing I haven't done is change the needle.  Either that or I'll go out and get the same weight that I was using to thread stitch and cross my fingers.
