I joined the 2012 craftalong and finished half of the quilts on my list before the new year started. But since I ended up making quilts for two co-workers instead of one and I made a quilt for each of my grandmothers, I decided to cut myself some slack for not completing the list.Smiley

So, with 2013 at its infancy, here is my list for the year:

1. Denim emergency quilt for car
2. Big Block Quilt for the couch
3. Favorite Things/Ocean quilt for Amber #1
4. Ben 10/Motorcity quilt for Amber #2
5. Ticker Tape Wall Quilt
6. Quilt-as-You-Go Quilt
7. Project Linus Quilt DONE
8. Arrietty Quilt
9. Skyrim Quilt for Bonnie
10. Plus Sign Quilt in solid colors
11. Bright Birch Trees Quilt
12. Fat Quarter Quilt
13. 100% Hand Pieced and Quilted Quilt

I have a feeling that last one is going to take the most motivation for me to do (I bought a new sewing machine for a reason!). Even so, I've been thinking about these quilts for the past few months and I have plans to get them finished. I have to get my fabric stash under control and these projects will help me do that.Cheesy

The Arrietty quilt is for me. In the movie, Arrietty has a quilt (or maybe it's just a comforter) on her bed. It wasn't on screen very long, but when I saw it, I knew I wanted to replicate the pattern for my bed. Here's a picture of the quilt:

The Skyrim quilt is for an old college friend. She's a huge fan of the game (she has custom made Farkas and Vilkas dolls) and I thought a Skyrim quilt would be nice as a late Christmas/early birthday present.

one of my goals for destash would be to USE up some of my FABRIC!!!

here's one:

stop saving that fabric to make "skinny" pants and make "now" pants, in the size i am NOW! a lot of my stash seems to be about some imagined future when i will be thinner, richer, dress more flamboyantly, etc

the time is NOW Smiley

Make it, thrift it, mend it, or make-do without it!

I've been going through fabric and planning. And I made a few purchases towards two of my planned quilts. Luckily for me there was still a few sellers on etsy who had some fabric that matched my charm squares I bought back in 2009.
