A friend of my boyfriends asked me to make a quilt for him and his fiance. The requirements: it had to be green and brown and king size. I could choose the pattern. Since they live out in the country I chose a log cabin pattern and then put the squares together to make a star burst pattern. This was my first king size quilt and quite possibly my last! I had to put two 6 ft folding tables up side by side to quilt it.  It measures 110 inches by 110 inches. I had to get my brother and 14 yr old son to stand on the couch to hold it up to get a full picture of it. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Gorgeous! The colors work beautifully with the pattern, and it looks both classic and modern. I'm very impressed that you quilted the entire thing. It's huge! Shocked

That's great! Oh wow, king sized?! Did you quilt it yourself?

Thank you! And yes I quilted it myself. Its quilted on diagonals and around the star burst so it really wasnt too bad quilting it. Just a lot of rolling it up really tight and I had the loose part on the 2 folding tables so it wouldnt pull as I was quilting it. I just took my time and cursed a lot  Wink

Wow!  I thought quilting extra-long twin sized quilts was bad!  Very nice job!  I love the log cabin!
