OMG PattyOFurniture is my new craftster crush. As a lover of all things HUNGER  GAMES.  I love the idea of the bath bombs and the marshmallows.

MammonTattoo I love that outfit. I see nothing wrong with it at all.

Sorry to chime in as I am not doing this CAL, but was so stunned by POF that I had to stop by.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!

OWL update: I've assembled Snape. Now I need to give him hair and paint his face.

He's in my lap with his legs/feet propped on my boobs lol!

Owl Update:
My Jack Sparrow quilt for Muggle studies has been taking allot longer than I originally planned. It was definitely a bigger project than I anticipated. I am half way through piecing the top together and my sister in laws birthday is literally in 8 days  Sad I am taking this Friday off from work so that I can hopefully manage to finish in time. Here's hoping!

Everyone else owl progress pics look great and I especially cant wait to see FreakieGeekie's Snape doll when its done!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

NEWT Subject: Muggle Studies
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Punk Rock Patchwork Quilt
Brief Description: After much deliberation, I've decided to study Muggles' interest in quilting with upcycled t-shirts, commonly called a "T-Shirt Quilt." Aren't Muggles clever? I may not be mocking them as I attempt this NEWT though; the idea of quilting is incredibly daunting to me but I know I am not far from expert advice from fellow students. The shirts will be from an ongoing 15 year cache, collected and secretly removed from circulation while washing clothes. The finished size will be approximately 56" x 100" or so I hope. However, January seems to be the month of busy for me, so my goal will be to plan the quilt, have the shirt fronts cut to the appropriate size, and possibly cut the additional fabric by the end of the month. Whew! Fingers crossed!

Everyone's projects have been stellar...trying to carve some time out and read about them all!!!!! Great work!

Update on proposed NEWT:

After inspecting the shirts, I've concluded that in order to use most of them I will have to patch some sirius holes- these shirts have some memories! I couldn't guess how many shows have been played while wearing them, they have gone through a decade cleaning up after animals in our pet shop, as well as all of our babies being cradled against them as they (the babies) go to sleep. Punk Rock Memory Quilt, I love you.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Charms / house unity (hufflepuff colors!)
Project Name: Owls for the new baby!
Project Page Link: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Andreann/owlet
Brief Description: This would have been perfect for the transfiguration class, but I already had my points there. This would also have fit in the Care of magical creature, since the yellow and orangy stripe is so lovely, but I'm turning it into charms because it's my first time knitting cables!! And I loved it! There's 14 little owls all around, three of which I've sewn little beads for eyes. It's about 6 inches tall and so soft!

That's absolutely adorable, Maman! That pattern's in my queue, but my first sweater is going to be something with the light worsted weight yarn I already bought.

Supermutts and pottermouth, those both look like they will be great quilts! I hope you can finish yours by your deadline, Supermutts!

I see nothing wrong with the Merida costume either! But I totally understand how you feel. I know when something doesn't come out the way I plan, I am totally my own worst critic.

Also loving that beanie! And those Element Babies - so cute!! And I suck at quilting (I've tried, but truly suck at it) and so am soooo looking forward to seeing the awesomeness completed. Cheesy Great job everyone!
