Those crochet cables look so good. I always forget that crochet cables are possible. Smiley

So, just when I thought I couldn't be more lucky or spoiled by swap partners, ybunnygurl proved me wrong!!  I cannot believe how AMAZING the package that she sent to me is  Grin

She included a sweet note which explained what each thing was for:

First - My favourite, favourite thing~ A derby hoop!!!!

This piece was inspired by one that she saw on my Pinterest ~ Check out the super awesome detail!!  She used gorgeous, brightly coloured tie dye floss (!!) and even gave the girlie some fishnets~ Love it!

Next is one of the most creative yet simple embroideries I've seen so far:

She let me know that the birdies outside of her office window inspired the piece.  Check out the perfect stitches!
Thanks so much for this~ Tell your mom sorry, but it's mine!  Smiley

Here are both pieces with a really neat vintage book of knit, crochet & woven projects ~ My favourite thing about the book is that the sub-title is "Sweaters for Swingers" (not kidding)  Grin

I am SO thrilled with everything~ THANK YOU again ybunnygurl  Grin

so many lovely things!

I received a super awesome package from the very talented canamharris. I have been totally spoiled!

A Kurt Halsey hoop! I love his work, and I really love his animal images. this makes me so very happy to look at  Grin

A fetus in utero  Cheesy He was given the name Cletus by a friend of his creator, and I'm big fan of keeping the names you come with so it sticks, C! I am a doula, CBE, and breastfeeding counselor, so my house and life has plenty of birthy stuff in it. To me and my family and friends, it's so normal to have this kind of stuff around or to talk about the nitty gritty of birthing, that it's like talking about what we'll have for dinner. I forget sometimes that most people don't do that, so I love that Canam not only was thoughtful enough to make something like this for me, but she worked on it around other people too  Cheesy

and an awesome "keep calm" patch. I happen to love this meme, but I have not really done anything with it. I am so very happy to have my first one  Grin. I think I will put it on a tote bag, because I use them all the time. Any good ideas for finishing the edges?

I think my package rocks! I love it, really! Thank you so much Canamharris!

I'm almost always typing with one hand...

I suggest to finish the edges to zig zag stitch it on a sewing machine and then tuck them under and sew it. Unless you like the raw edges then just sew it on! (I sometimes like things a little raw! but I did give the patch a 1/2 seam allowance I think. )

So glad you liked it. My daughter especially loved the "baby" hoop as I was working on it. She wanted to know all about it being in it's momma's tummy.
