I purchased this kit at a craft show 2 years ago and finally got around to making it.  I made my first one in 2007 and it took me way longer than the instructions said it should but this one went together much faster since I understood how it all worked.

Closed:

with the lid removed you can see the toilet inside:

with the lid removed and laid flat:

If you take the toilet lid off, it's actually a place to store your thimble.  Each inner panel is padded so it holds needles and pins and with the small strap across the panel, you can put things like small scissors in it as well.    I probably won't use this, it will just be a conversation piece.

I love this. I've seen a tardis version but bein' a farm girl the rustic outhouse theme wins out for me Wink.

That is hilarious!  My auntie still has a "functioning" outhouse in her garden

Any idea who designed the pattern or where to purchase it?  I would love to make one for her as a gag gift

That's not a sentence you read every day. This project is hilarious! Great work, Homerof2!

My original post is from 2010 (someone commented so it bumped it more current) but I just checked and the website is still active.  http://www.needleboxesplus.com
