Ever since I saw rackycoo's amazing Altered Altoid Tin Tutorial I knew I wanted to make some tins of my own. Unfortunately, being in the Netherlands means I can't get my hands on Altoids Tins that easily. I ended up using some mint tins from the local drugstore, and buying some Altoids Tins off eBay. In this post I will show you a few of my tins. (Because of image obesity I decided to split this up into seperate posts.)

I mostly used Tilda papers for the tins, I got this amazing paperpad for Christmas Smiley

Here's the first tin I did, for my friend Marissa.

This is the inside.

(This was before I discovered the wonders of alphabet-stamps, so excuse my handwriting Tongue)

The second tin I made was for my sister (who's also a member here, Suzelijn).

I used the cutout image of a bird as a reference to our father, who unfortunately passed away four years ago. He loved birds Smiley By this time I had bought a set of alphabet-stamps, but I unfortunately something went wrong with stamping, see the smudge on the left.

And this one's for my mother:

yay for stamps! I also started to experiment with goldpaint at this point.

When in doubt - use gold paint Wink

very pretty! i love the one with the bird - very vintage kitsch Smiley I'd love to have a ton of these but I never know what to put in them besides hairpins...

I love the colors and of course the birds! Great job. I love the inside as much as the exterior!
