Well I don't have any idea which thing is confusing you the most in the room, because that looks great to me. May be you need to change the setting of your room to have a different look. May be you feel better that way.

YOu could get or make a large metal circle and get a sheer fabric. sew the fabric onto the circle and suspend it over your bed with chain or rope. You could cut up and repurpose pallets for more storage, you could paint those the colors you like. You may not be able to pain but you can still incorporate the colors you like in many ways: paint a lamps shade, get or make rag rugs in the colors you like. Hope this helps!
