I cant sleep at night anymore. I lay down and toss and turn till around 5 or 6 in the morning. Last night during my "damn it I cant sleep" phase I noticed the sad way i keep my jewelry. Desperately needs help dosnt it? So I decided, since I was up anyway, to do something about it.

One part antique frame that has been hanging in the garage for years, and one part funky lace. You can see how huge the frame is here. Add a ton of staples and some duct tape, mix and voila jewelry holder.

I still need to figure out what to do with my post earrings and I cant decided if I like the necklaces hanging on the side or not but it at least keeps them untangled.

Thanks for looking.

great project, and wow that is the best 'lace' ever.  You could put some little hooks in along the top to hang necklaces from, since you have quite a few they bunch up a bit at the sides.

Pretty and practical.  I love the lace.  Sorry you can't sleep.  I sometimes have to get up and do a crossword puzzle.

Or like Butch said about the hook but put them on the bottom? That way they wouldn't be hanging in front of the other shinies. Also, for the post earrings, maybe add a strip of cork board or something on the back so you can push them into it? I'm not saying cover the whole back with it, but maybe just a strip would add some visual interest. Maybe you could even paint it to match the whole theme you got going there.

Pretty sweet. Nice way to spend the hours when you should be sleeping but can't.

That lace is AWESOME!!!

the necklaces could be either run along the bottom of the frame using cup hooks or inside the lace itself with some bent paperclips

great job!
