weighanchor's Watercolour/Masking Fluid Tutorial is phenomenal, isn't it? I decided to try it out and have done a few with mixed results. This is the most recent one:

Thanks weighanchor!

holy cow--I looked for masking fluid today and is it expensive!  I am going to wait until I get a coupon...does it take a lot?  I guess it depends on how much "white" you have to mask!  A little bottle was over $15.00!

How big is your painting?

I bought mine at Michael's and used a coupon. It doesn't take much masking fluid and after eight or nine paintings I still have half a bottle, maybe? Pretty sure the paper was 11x18...

Oh thanks--I was at Michael's as well...so I should be getting a new coupon soon!  I definitely have wanted to try this for a very long time...Cheesy

I meant to ask if the painting was a gift or is it a self-portrait?

It was for fun. We needed art for the house and I painted DH, and all of the kids.

MissingWillow, it just dawned on me that you did those jaw dropping Advent Calendars! I can't decide which one I love more. Well, probably the HP one... Grin
