We recently discovered that one of our kittens is not really a cat! He likes going for car rides and walks. Anyways, the first few outings i just made a little makeshift harness with some string/rope stuff... which he didnt seem to mind at all...So i decided to make him a nice croched one. we took him to the playground yesterday and he had a blast!

on its own:

I'm going to have to make a bigger one soon and maybe a matching leash.. he's growing so fast!

Very cute! When I first got my cat, he kept acting like he wanted to go outside so I bought a little leash and harness. He HATED it, and was terrified of going beyond the front door. Now I just let him out on the back porch (nice, safe, enclosed space!) and he totally loves it. Glad your cat is a bit more adventurous Smiley

My cat has gotten used to wearing his harness (my husband actually puts it on him at night when he is rowdy and running around the house making noise... the harness calms him down because there's something "on" Garfield).

When I first put it on him, he was squirming and doing these really funny dances. While he doesn't mind wearing the harness, he has problems with the leash. He freaks out and tries to run around and gets stopped by the harness/leash, so I've kind of given up on taking him on walks on the leash. Other times he'll just kind of crawl and go real slow on the ground. Kind of takes the joy out of being outside for him.

I did however, make a nice little pillow cushion for him so he can sit outside on the balcony on the pillow and watch the birds. Whenever we let him outside, he comes back when I call him. And if he doesn't, as soon as I try to get closer to him to pick him up, he dashes back into the house. What a scaredy cat.
