I've been lurking and reading for a while, tons of great ideas over here, ladies and gentlemen! I might've "borrowed" an idea or two and done my own take on those project in the past few months. I finally bit the bullet and registered, so I've decided to post some of my stuff.

(the last one: only the stool; the table is a hacked Ikea with a tea box inserted  Grin )

Essentially, I got a ton of pallet wood that I didn't know what to do with. Some of it was fine after sanding, some of it needed filling so also needed painting. By the way, the gray paint is also recycled - it was originally a half a can of pumpkin coloured paint left over from a renovation in 2010, so I added oil paint (for painting paintings on canvas) to it from a tube - a bit of black and a bit of blue - and it made gray.

I'll also admit to not ever having built furniture or frankly anything out of wood before, so it was a bit of a discovery. I broke an electric drill in the process...  Undecided To be fair, it probably would've died soon anyway, it was old.

Most of those things didn't turn out perfectly, but hey, you've gotta start to learn somewhere right?

I've still got some wood left... Hmmm, now what'll be the next project?  Grin

Congrats on learning to make your own furniture, and especially using reclaimed wood and paint.  I think all of your projects look great.  Keep on trucking, I think you're doing great so far.  Nancy

Got one from 1 euro worth of materials from the Ikea as-is corner (which, by the way, will be the subject of my next post as soon as I've got everything assembled and painted properly).  Grin
