My son had to babysit my nephews 2 hours away and stayed at their house for the week. My husband and two other kids took advantage of this time and did a 'while you were out' overhaul in his room. We are very pleased with the outcome and he was so blown away. He still can't wipe the smile from his face. I also did some custom artwork for him (the painting above his bed) of his favourite UFC fighter, Georges St. Pierre. We did the whole room in a UFC theme as my son is a provincial champ in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

There also happens to be a plushy (on the bed) and some artwork (on the cork board) made by SpookPooky. I love everything she does and she definitely brought some character into his room!

love the results, and especially love that you did it while he was away.

That was so thoughtful to surprise him like that.  It turned out great too!

Thank you! He is SO happy with it. Just keeps going on and on about it. He was blown away. His expression was worth every once of sweat and every penny that went into it!

O.M.G!!  Shocked I TOTALLY wish my mother would have done something like this for me when I was still living in her house! That's such a----grand and selfless and WONDERFUL surprise! It's so AWESOME that you paid such close attention to what your son liked and wanted/needed. I mean, how may parents can say they REALLY  know what their kids want?  My mom wouldn't have known what the heck to do for a room make-over for me! (Well she MIGHT have but I probably would have hated it....see my point?)   Wink
EXTRA kudos to you Sam for being super mom.  Smiley
