I recently took appart an old skateboard that i'd kept from when i was younger.
Sanded it down and decided to doodle on it.
A few hours later, lots of painty messiness, glugging out of manky paint water instead of my tea, this was the final result.
Quite chuffed really as this was my first time touching acrylic paints since highschool a few years back.

Work in progress pics.

Final piece.

As i'm more active until college kicks back in, more of my arty/crafty works can be found on various sites if anybody is wishing to snoop feel free to check them out Smiley

Hope you like!
p.s. Still to be varnished, need to go buy some soon.

Beautiful!  Would work as wall art, or random coffee table centerpiece.  I love the detail on the phoenix.

Sandroo Hehe thanks, i think it's destined as a wall piece once it's been varnished over.
It's a lot more detailed in person, camera doesn't quite capture it Sad

lovesclutter I'm quite a noob when it comes too forums, but i'm assuming those are all good things Smiley hehe

Going to go raid the skip tomorrow, see if i can salvage some boards, desperate to do another now!

Loving all the detail in this and the progress pictures.

The purple surrounding the phoenix mixing into the black of the sky really makes it look like the phoenix is hot to the touch. Like that wavy line you see on the pavement in summer.

Can't wait to see more of your painting.

Hehe thank you!
I'm dying to doodle on another deck, but can't afford to buy any at the moment and no-one seems to have any to donate.
But hopefully soon!

This is super cool. I bet it will look fantastic once it's up on the wall.
