I have lived in my house for 2 years and we have not done anything with our more formal living room. Well that was until now! It is now a living room/ craft room. We got these leaning bookshelves for our Shabby Chic theme and well they are quite bare. So I decided that I like making pillows and thought a shabby chic Parisian pillow was a must! And this is what I made

I made the pillow out of felt and made it 15" to fit the area perfect. I then stitched on a felt Eiffel Tower and cut out and put on the Paris letters all out of black felt.
I had start hand appliqueing them on first but I was always getting it too crooked, so I thought I would just free hand stitch them on and it turned out perfect! At the bottom left corner of the tower I cut out winter white flowers with the background fabric and attached them with simple cross-stitches.

I filled with poly-fil and slip stitched the bottom closed. I next time would make the tower a little smaller and place it higher on the pillow so the flowers are better seen from the shelf, but overall I LOVE it! I rarely make things for myself and this isn't going anywhere!!!

For the images I just google searched for templates. I am very pleased with what I found... I have some ideas for the other bookshelf now.... and I'm thinking I might need to incorporate a Poodle template I had found.... yeah!

Lovely. The flowers make it "Paris in the Springtime."

Thanks everyone! I keep walking in the room to get a peek of it! I am still awaiting the arrival of more things for there so it isn't finished yet, but I love that the pillow was able to incorporate art and that I've been making quite a few pillows lately!

Did you find the lettering for "PARIS" online too? I'm amazed at how even it looks- I can never cut out or sew on letters than well.
