This project is very quick and simple. Basically you just cut out the neckband and down the front of the t-shirt, fold the raw edges under and sew to make a casing, thread with whatever "drawstring" you like and you're done. For my particular project, I also hemmed the sleeves for two reasons; I needed the fabric for the ties, and they looked big and floppy, especially with the shrug alteration making the garment more fitted. Additionally, I sewed from the end of the bottom seam of the sleeves that is in the armpit to about 1" up from that seam on the hem of the sleeve (while the shirt was inside out). This made the sleeves smaller around. For more detailed instructions and more pictures of the concept, check out where I got the directions.
