I agree wholeheartedly and it is certainly one I'll want to join again and again  Grin

I acquired some small pieces of silk, velvet and cotton/linen that just might get used in this swap - I love free fabric <3

Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best

Ay, my internet connection has been down for a couple days...That allowed me a lot of time to think about and tinker with my flag, though.  Smiley Even so, it doesn't look like I've spent all that time on it, but I've found that in the case of what I'm doing, simpler looks best (in spite of all the many embellishments that were begging to be added to it!).

Is anyone putting things on that weigh the flag down? The Tibetan prayer flags are so thin and light-weight that any light breeze sends them fluttering, and I think that might be part of the point. Every little element added to the flags is going to make them heavier. Are things like buttons, beads, or even quilting too weighty/bulky for the purpose of prayer flags? Discuss.
(Yes, ultimately it's going to be a personal decision, but I'd like to hear opinions about it.)

On this maiden voyage I went with fabrics and no other elements, but that was more because it really looked finished without. But I wouldnt rule out adding objects and things --i love buttons and found objects--and I'd be super ok if flags that I recd had addnl parts to them. Smiley

MaryColleen, your flag really sort of made itself--(3 times but thats another story  ). i had crazy fabric luck and found the most perfect fq on friday and from there i really had time for just this. next stop, tomorrow: that place that issues DC#s

I am so excited!!!!  I hope to have yours out tomorrow, unless I decide to re-do it.  We will see what the Craft Spirits tell me...

My basement is finally finished - Craft room on one side, Bar on the other side.  Why would I ever want to come back upstairs?

Planning stage here.
I had a lot of work to do for my Scentsy business this week. Plus I've had grandkids here 3 days! So not a whole lot accomplished yet.
