I made this cake for my son's pirate birthday party:



I found the instructions at Family Fun - it was pretty easy to make and he LOVED it!!

Oh my Gosh! That is awesome!! Is that real money? It looks real, or is it chocolate coin money? Either way looks like a lot of work and you did a fantastic job. How fun! You know that is a cake he will always remember!

They are chocolate coins - talk about a sugar overload!  Plus they went on a treasure hunt and dug up a treasure chest full of MORE candy!  They stopped along the way and found pirate costume stuff - bandana, sash, sword, eyepatch - and then the treasure chest itself!  And only one kid got dirt thrown in his eye!  Wink
