I'd been thinking about going crafty for Christmas this year, so I'll join in! I only have a few ideas so far, so I'll definitely be adding to the list.

Themed variation on a customized dry-erase board

Aunt and Uncles:
handcrafted Christmas cards?

something small but handmade (will be accompanied by a bought toy just because)

Friend N:
Crocheted owl hat for baby
finish that pillow/square/whatever I started for her awhile back

Friend S:
probably a scarf, thinking in Angel Hair yarn for softness and stashbusting
something small/simple for her cat

Friend R:
Something involving pinecones (long story)

Friend Nat:
something cheap to mail

here goes my list

DH - plays WoW (for the Alliance!), likes supernatural/fantasy, has worked bloody hard over the past 18months so I could stay home with our son, loves his sports

Son (18months) - ??

Mum - squatter (Aussie board game) quilt *

Dad - monopoly quilt *

*overly ambitious so I reserve the right to remove and amend!

Sister - Japanese teacher/ primary school teacher, likes supernatural/fantasy stuff (BTVS, supernatural, game of thrones, HP, etc)

BIL - does woodwork, works on a minesite

nephew (2) -

MIL - bookmark? (we always buy her books) something for her kitchen? (matching teatowels and hand towels?)

SIL, BILx3 - peppermint bark/Christmas cookies/other food item?

Nephew (16) - ? Currently living w/ his mother and not in contact w/ DH family but who knows what will happen by Dec and what he will be into?

Nephew (Cool -

Niece (6) - quilted sleeping bag

Niece (3) - quilted sleeping bag

Nephew (6months) - baby quilt *see above!

Aunty - Big Bang stencilled shirt, possibly doppler effect

Aunty's gf - ?

Cousin (16) - into soccer, learns German at school

Cousin (2) - ?

Either 12 x adult aunty, uncle, cousin - generic food/other production line quick gifts or;
1 x secret santa

anyone who has boys around 8, could you tell me if a quilted sleeping bag (as per 2x nieces above) would be at all appealing? Its not an outdoor one, more a quilt that is folded, probably something that could get dragged out when lying on the floor watching movies? I'll link to a pic when I scan it out of the vintage craft book I found it in!

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

Oh dear, the holidays, fun, fun. I can't say I've done much formal thinking planning for the holidays, but it's never to early to start. Probably won't start even remotely crafting for winter holidays until August or September (too much summer projects still to do Smiley. Anyways, here's a really rough draft list of people and a few ideas: Any suggestions are certainly welcome!

~Mom: One of those 52 Reasons books.
~Aunt & Uncle: ??

School Friends
~B.W. > Decorated Sketchbook; "Bad Boys Rock"/Draco Malfoy T-Shirt (This will get done this year!  Grin )
~S.W. > Decorated Sketchbook

Library Friends
~M.C. > Handmade Booklover's Gift Basket: Chocolate/homemade baked goods, bookmarks, Barnes & Noble Gift Card, a journal, a sketchbook (hand-decorated?), a book or two
~M.B. > A set of homemade jewelry (necklace, bracelet, earrings),
~Fellow library staff > Usual plate/tin of cookies

Camp Friends: I work at a Harry Potter themed/inspired camp.
~General camp family > Huh
~Ash >
~Froggie > Something w/ Frogs
~Cricket > Huh Something Waverider themed. (BTW: waverider is one of my camp's four houses, we don't use the canon ones)

Teachers: Probably something like a hot chocolate kit in a mug, or small containers of cookies, something edible. I'll have 6 teachers, so nothing crazy.

Girl Scout Troop
~My two troop leaders:
~The other 3 girls in my troop:

General Gift Ideas
~Mixes in Jars
~Sets of those pretty tile/scrapbook paper coasters, and other types of coasters

Decoration Ideas
~Have been wanting to try my hand at felt ornaments forever now

...Well, it's a start.  Smiley

Maybe if I make my list public, I will be more motivated to use nap times as crafting hour, not do-the-dishes-hour....(who needs clean plates, anyway??)

For my little guy (2 years old):
-big hotwheels mat, no sew applique, so not a lot of sewing but a lot of drawing & cutting. This is the inspiration: http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2010/10/oscars-car-playmat.html
-jammies x2
-quiet book
-arts & craft kit...he loves art!!
-boy type dress up stuff
-hoodie/winter vest
-a red dinosaur wearing jammies to go with a book I bought months ago and have been hoarding for Christmas. I have this pattern: http://www.funkyfriendsfactory.com/products/patterns/timmy-t-rex-soft-toy-sewing-pattern-instant-download/ I think it will work. This is the book http://www.amazon.com/Dinosaur-vs-Bedtime-Bob-Shea/dp/1423113357/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342129111&sr=8-1&keywords=dinosaur+vs+bedtime so maybe that t-rex pattern isn't goofy enough??

For new baby:
-I feel like I will have a better idea in a month or so, when we find out what flavor baby we're having!

little paintings/ embroideries. a robin's nest for mom, antique fishing lures for dad

-bird embroidery (this is almost done already!) DONE!!

-stenciled laptop/ipad case (not making the case, just stenciling it with Ron Swanson)

Also needed:
My brother & my husband's entire side of the family which consists of his parents, aunt and uncle, grandmother, and our niece & nephew (in the 1st and 3rd grades).

Im thinking pj pants for the niece and nephew because they are quick to make and can be done fairly inexpensively. And also, a diary for her (she's starting 2nd grade this fall) or a jewelry box similar to this http://diybydesign.blogspot.com/2011/09/chalk-paint-jewelry-box.html

For the nephew (entering 3rd grade this fall), I was thinking a marshmallow shooter http://momscraftyspace.blogspot.com/2011/05/marshmallow-shooters.html#

For his aunt & uncle, I am thinking some homemade dog treats for their awesome, giant dogs http://www.comeonilene.com/2011/05/31/homemade-dog-treats/
And cookies or fancy popcorns or something....

His mom and step-dad I am just at a complete loss of ideas for, though.
