My dear Hubster went away for the weekend and I decided to have a Craft-a-polooza. I finished all my ATC's for the swap and worked on a project for another swap I am in. While I was waiting for things to dry I decided to do a little side project for myself. I have had this idea for a while and just needed the time to do it. These were done with Copic markers on Illustration board.
So here it is. My Classic Movie Monster ATC set!!!!   Grin

I wanted to do a gray tone for the "flesh" and line drawing for the clothing. Then I wanted to do a plain sort of rainbow background.  I was super happy with how they turned out! Here they are individually.

Frank was my first one. I might add his bride next time I get some "me" time.

 The Invisible Man

 The Wolf Man

The Creature from the Black Lagoon. This one was a little weird cas he didn't have "clothes" so I just faded down so it would match the set of the others. The purple isn't as dark as it looks in this picture.

The Phantom of the Opera ended up being my favorite. I love his expression!

 The Prince of Darkness, Dracula!

And the Mummy! I tried to make his background "gold" to go along with the Egypt theme but it turned out more orangey.
These were all of the classic black and white movie monsters I could think of besides the Blob but I didn't think that one would turn out to well.  Tongue Let me know what you think or if you know one that I missed.
 Thanks for looking!

I found some free time to finish up the set. I added the Bride of Frankenstein!

Here is one I sent out for a swap a couple months ago too. I think I am going to remake this version of her for my own collection too.

You don't need a permit for a glue gun.

wow those are amazing!  You did an amazing job with the illustrating, and I also how you've done the faces, versus the lines for the torsos, and the strong colours behind, all works great!

These are amazing. You have mad marker skills, because I totally thought the faces were done with watercolor.  Smiley

Thanks everyone! I had a lot of fun making these. They are the first ATC that I have made and not given away.  Wink
I did two more in this style but different subject matter for the June '12 ATC swap but they haven't been received yet. I hope they like them!

Very nicely done.

OMG! I am having a mild heart attack right now, these are so cool!  I totally envy your drawing skills!  You should definitely make a Bride one! Definitely!  I can't really think of anyone you missed except maybe Dracula's daughter, but for some reason she seems to have fallen into obscurity and doesn't get any love.  Universal released that film in the '30s shortly after the original Dracula movie came out.  Oh, you could also do a Nosferatu one, but it's not a Universal film like the others. Well, thanks for sharing.  I'm wisting these right now!

Oh my! I can't believe I forgot Nos! We have an old theater here that would play it at midnight and I used to go see it all the time. They had this weird band The Ululating Monks that would make a soundtrack for it. Awe, miss those days!
I have never heard of Drac's Daughter. I need to look her up! Thanks for the suggestions!

A. MAZE. ING.  The whole collection is off the hook.  I <3 old movie monsters, and if I could get this set as poster size prints to line my walls I could die a happy girl!  : )  I can't wait to see what you do next; Nosferatu and The Bride are both great choices!

These are amazing! The details are astounding. I love how you didn't ink the faces, only used the markers, so they are softer. Gorgeous.
