Hi everyone!

I'd like to show you these cute pattern weights I made last week:

They were so easy and fast to make!

Here's how:

Start by making a simple yo-yo (here's a great tutorial: http://tearosehome.blogspot.de/2010/05/tutorial-how-to-make-yo-yos.html).
But before pulling it closed, put a stag of coins in the middle.

I placed a small circle of felt on top of the coins, so they wouldn't show through the hole later.
You could glue the coins and felt circle together with some drops of hot glue, but I didn't feel it necessary.

Now just pull it closed, secure the threads with a knot and hide the ends within the yo-yo.

Now make as much as you want/need/have coins for  Wink!

I really love them! They are so useful and even look cute just sitting around somewhere in the room.
As soon as I've collected some more of those little coins I'm going to make some for my aunt, who's also sews a lot from patterns.

I wish you all a nice day Smiley!

Ahhhh! When I first saw the thumbnail, I was wondering what you used to make them heavy. Coins! These are awesome and I adore the fabric choices you made. Great job!
