I have no problem with losing the extra points either!

Maybe if the swap is going to be recurring but not ongoing, instead of doing monthly rounds, it could be a season, like "Fall STS", then it could last more than a month and when it slows down, there can be a break?

That's a great idea!  It would build excitement for each round, give organizers a break and relieve the slow down periods!  PW, you're brilliant!

There is a downside to doing it that way, which is that if someone only wants to join for a short time, they would have to commit to a longer swap..... While you can always just close your shop, it does take up a swap space.

I still like your idea PW!   Grin

Happy 4th all!  We're off to a BBQ at my brother's place.  They finally got their electricity back and we are all sitting outside in this heat.  Crazy.

I am trying to finish a quilt top this afternoon. No, I do not like quilting. Do not ask why I am making a queen-sized quilt, because I do not have a good answer....

The city fireworks are in the park next to my apartment, so I can lounge on my porch and watch them from home tonight. I may also try to cook up something with my stash of frozen sour cherries that I have been shlepping back and forth between my freezer and my parents' stand-up freezer since the power keeps going out.

Finished with quilt top! It is less orange-yellow in real life, that is using flash. I am planning to hand quilt it when the weather gets cooler, so it will probably never actually get finished...

That's an awesome top Ptarmic!  I started on a coin quilt from the fabric that Freestyle gifted to me.  So far I have the strips made, but not much more.  I was hoping to quilt it on my machine.  Would that be hard to do??  It's a baby sized quilt. Cheesy
