I have a couple of diner-style booths that are in really good shape, but the colors are all wrong. I'm pretty sure I can refinish the table top, but I don't know what to do about the seat backs.

They are vinyl cushioned seatbacks. I don't mind the vinyl, but I want to change the color.

Is there some way to cover them? An iron on fabric, maybe? A paint or dye? Would that even work? Has anyone done anything like this?

I've seen painted vinyl chairs, but they have a tendency to peel.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

That's what I was afraid of. Sad

I had the idea of maybe adhering some other vinyl to the existing vinyl... if there was some way to do that.

Sigh. I may just have to abandon this idea.

Just as I am

If you ceck with a auto body shop. they can spray them with a dye product. I have seen it done with an awning.
