Hi, i'm opening a shop selling products hand-made by creative people living in or near London and would love to have you involved.

the aim of the shop is to support the local community by providing a hub for creative people to sell things they make, whether as a full time business or just for making a little extra money. We also run regular (mostly) free community events and give 50% of all our profits to London based charities.

The real shop will be somewhere in Central London and is probably still a few weeks away but we would love to have your products in our online shop now; priority for shelf space when the store opens will go to our most loyal sellers first.

If you would like to sell through us please email me at: [email protected] with;

- between 1 and 3 photo's of each product you'd like listed in .jpg format and no bigger than 120mb in size. if you dont have software to resize and convert photo's you can do it free online at: http://www.webresizer.com
- 2 descriptions 1 short (1 paragraph) and 1 longer (2-3 paragraphs)
- the price you'd like to sell for - we add commission at our end so what you ask for is what you receive.
- variations available: sizes, colours, etc
- the weight of the item in kg; for postage, which we add automatically to the price.
- a short description of yourself and why you make things, to add a personal touch to our shop.
- if the item is something you would make after receiving an order please tell us how long it will normally take.

the online shop is 90% complete, it's running a little slowly at the moment but that will change shortly. feel free to have a have a look 1st and you are welcome to join us and meet me in person at any of our events listed on the website: www.focallocal.org

lastly, we would like to help remove barriers to creative people in selling their products so we also offer advice and coffee morning drop in's to help with taxes, self-employment, accounting and other red-tape issues. for example, if your income is less than 77,000 a year you dont have to pay or worry about VAT Smiley

i hope to hear from you soon, Andy at Focallocal

Ooh, sounds like a very exciting idea! I'm not in a position to list anything right now, but I'll be following you with interest! Anything to promote crafting and the world of handmade in this big city Smiley
