Wow @yofi, I love that scarf.  I wish I had the patience to do lace but I just don't.

I have a few things in the works here but kinks were thrown into the works when my sewing machine decided to go wonky.  I tried Repairo but it wasn't working.  It hopefully will be back from the professionals soon.

Class: DADA
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Carnie Hoop
Project Page Link:
Brief Description: I have an irrational fear of carnies. And embroidery. So I combined them both in hopes of conquering my anxiety. I used startattookid's original art from deviantart (thanks) and attempted to embroider it. Added some permanent ink here and there and presto! A DADA assignment completed. Carnies still give me the willies. Maybe it's their small hands.

Class: Transfiguration
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: A Probably-Not-Approved-by-Professor-McGonagall Post

Brief Description & Project Pictures: I transfigured two old tops.

An old blue tee-shirt with a stain became a new pair of simple underpants in Ravenclaw blue. Probably the only interesting thing about them is that there's no elastic in the crotch. I've taken to sometimes leaving leg elastic out of the crotch area, as it not only saves elastic, but feels kind of light and airy.

A secondhand knit shirt in an unflattering shade of red that I was given became underpants with a subtle message for the only person who ever sees my underpants in RL.

Sadly that picture makes me think of an old Groucho Marx bit where he speaks to Margaret Dumont of his vision of them in their little dream home: "I can see you bending over the stove--but I can't see the stove." Embarrassed

@wifeofbath: "light and airy" ...that sounds delight Wink  ...and Carpe Gluteum would be too much of an invitation to my hubby Cheesy

Class : Divination
House:  Gryffindor
Project Name: Hogwarts Tea set
Project Page Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=409402.0
Brief Description: I decided do do a divination tea set with tea leaves that have to do with good and bad omens. The tea pot has a painting of Hogwarts that I have always loved.  I used glass enamel paint to paint on them and set them in the oven and plan on putting a clear coat for durability. On one side of the lid it says Hogwarts on the other side it says Harry Potter.  Since I already made a mug set with the logos of each house on it https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=371959.msg4376351#msg4376351 I thought a more simple design of the names of each house and the handles in the house colors would be nice. Now inside each cup is a tea leaves in good and bad omen shapes. Gryffindor has a grim-death, Ravenclaw has a skull-danger in your path, Hufflepuff has acorns-windfall , and Sytherin has a sun-great happiness. There are more pics on the project page

That tea set is AHHH-MAZING!!! The detail in the teapot is so great. I love it. And I would kill for one of those coffee mugs. Mine broke the other day at work Sad  This set is just incredible!

Wow, everything is so awesome! I have been wanting to join in on the craftalong but haven't been feeling well lately. I finally had a good day a couple of days ago so I decided to make something for myself that also fits with one of the challenges.

Class (or House Pride Item): Follow the Spiders challenge
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Beaded Spider
Project Page Link:
Brief Description:  I was inspired by aliis's wire spider and decided to make the one from a tutorial I had pinned a while back. I didn't have the right stuff to make it though so I ended up using this tutorial instead. http://www.instructables.com/id/Beaded-Spider-Tutorial/?ALLSTEPS
