A beautiful work of art but the thought behind it is breathtaking. Your dad sounds a wonderful man who deserves something as special as what you made him here.

Oh it is so lovely!  And I love the sentiment behind it!  I'm sure he will adore it!

Thank you! He is a good man and I wish I was even half the person that he is Smiley

The fish started out as a walleye, but sort of took on a life of its own...like my paintings always do! ha ha

OH DUH... Now I TOTALLY SEE IT!!!
nice!
Ive lived in Alaska for 11 years... no walleye here... I couldn't think of what it looked like...

Thanks so much, everyone! I really hope he loves it!

faemystique - LOL! It's understandable that you didn't see it. My paintings seldom look like I intend them to!

So soothing. I'm certain this will mean a great deal to your father.

 What medium did you use?

I teared up reading your intro to this beautiful painting. It is well done and the sentiment behind it makes it that much more gorgeous. I think that more parents out there need kids who truly appreciate what they give up out of unconditional love and want for their families. <3

Thank you so much, everyone! My dad loved it! I have a picture of him with it but he hates pictures of him being put online, so I can't post it lol. But he loved it and that makes me happy.

Like this a lot  Smiley - I don't tend to associate acrylic with that kind of transparency. Lovely.
