I'm amazed! Is it hard to do?  Does it take a lot of skill and time?  Debs Smiley

Love, love, love the popcorn!

What adorable earrings these would all make!

I'm looking for wrist watches or old clocks. Broken or working, doesn't matter! I will swap anything you would like.

It doesn't take too much time...and the skill comes the more you do it.  I started out making sort of round-ish beads.  *L*  My first bunch of "beads" were lopsided, strangely colored, sometimes burned, sometimes cracked.  But I still have them.

Because I'm using MAPP Gas (about 8 dollars for a small can from Home Depot), and a HotHead torch head (about 45 dollars) it was relatively inexpensive to get started.  I spent about 25 dollars on a bundle of glass rods (COE 104 or soft glass).

I absolutely LOVE making beads.  It's very...um...personal, I guess.  I put on my earbuds with music I love (well, only one earphone so that I can hear the torch in case it starts making strange noises *L*) and start makin' stuff.

I run with scissors.....it makes me feel DANGEROUS!!
