My boyfriend's daughter is 13, a week away from 14.  She is the cutest little buddy I have and we do lots of crafts together.  I absolutely love spending time with her and teaching her different crafty things, how to sew, paint and how to have patience (something she is working on).

She gets excited when I participate in swaps here on crafster and other blogs I visit and can't wait to see what I make and in turn what I receive from somewhere around the world and from someone I don't know.  We went to Joann's Friday night just to browse  Wink and I asked if there are any projects she wants to do, birthday presents to make for anyone, things like that.  She said no, but then said "I want to do a hoopla swap, one like you do."  We just happened to be in the embroidery floss/hoop area.  I asked if she wanted to do a hoopla swap with me and her eyes lit up and that cute smile stretched from ear to ear...so cute.  We bought a few supplies, went home to make our theme lists and exchanged to get started.

Her list had a bunch of fun things.  I chose bike, cupcakes & candy...

I mostly used satin stitch on this project, with a bit of backstitching, chain and made some fun tassles for the handlebars.

My partner went with zombie, old school microphone and music for mine...

She used backstitch and got creative with some painting action and a fun cartoonie zombie.

We decided this is going to continue and this was just our first round.  We have 2 weeks to work on our next hoop, not the weekend like this one.  She absolutely can't wait to have a full fledged "Hoopla Wall."

C&C most welcome!  Thank you for looking.

That zombie singing about braaaaaainnnnssss!!! is awesome! My daughter is 3 and she's just started sewing. I hope I'm lucky enough to have a daughter who is still crafty when she's older. Both of you did great work on your hooplas!

I love that you did a swap together, that's so much fun.

Both of your hoops are great, I love the themes you both chose.
