Anyone know the best kind to use??  I'm making a swimsuit and I do plan on getting it wet.  I have read synthetic yarn may work well but I can't find any in the stores.  Any suggestions?

All acrylics are synthetic.  That leaves lots of options at most craft stores.  I haven't made crochet swimwear, but I suggest a thinner yarn and a small hook to make the fabric weave tighter for modesty reasons.

I would suggest something more along the lines of cotton.

But from my understanding more natural fibers are going to withstand the water better.
