I got my CD from sfishbaugh today! She not only sent me a cd, but she also included a beaded clip and a 1 inch button. I will post pictures of those once I have them, but I wanted to post the playlist of the CD. This swap has really surprised me with the wide variety of songs that I received (and will send out). I have already found at least one new artist I want to hear more from. Here goes:

"Where's My Ladies" by Guru
"Straw Dogs" by Stiff Little Fingers
"Brian Wilson" by Barenaked Ladies
"Options" by Pedro the Lion
"Sleep Away your Troubles" by the Softies  (I heart this song so much)
"Perfect Lines" by Promise Ring
"All Apologies" by Nirvana
"A Mind of Her Own" by Pedro the Lion
"Hate Paste" by Archers of Loaf
"Fly me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra
"Lighting Storm" by JFA
"Namaste" by the Beastie Boys
"Another Theory Shot to Shit" by Firehose
"Non-zero possibility" by At the Drive-in
"Chicago is so two years ago" by Fallout Boy
"Loose lips" by Kimya Dawson
"Live forever" by the Lemonheads
"Midnight Service at the Mutter Museum" by Murder City Devils
"Mother" by Danzig
"November" by Azure Ray
"Out of Step" by Minor Threat
"Outer Space" by the Muffs
"Skull" by Sebadoh
"Sleepwalking" by Sub Society

I can't wait to see everyone else's cool playlists!

hmmm...side note: i just can't get over seeing fallout boy everywhere (noticing playlist)...they played at the youth center where i work about two years ago...now they're in spin, and on internet pop up windows, and just everywhere in my face! it makes me chuckle and think good thoughts for them. huh.

can't wait to swap cds! (still working on covers. that's the best part of a mix!)

Yes! My friend booked Blink 182 for her bar way back many years ago when they were just a little bitty garage-type band, and she says the same thing about them - it is weird to see someone you knew "back when" being big now! They aren't my thing, but it's still pretty neat.

I found Fallout Boy while searching for Chicago-themed songs for a playlist and they had me from the first 5 seconds, they are awesome. Smiley

Lucid and Starlawill, I am so glad you like the CD!! It was fun to make and also fun to listen to. The "seal of approval" was when my hubby (way more into music than me, I have to admit) gave it the thumbs-up, LOL...

Yay!  I got my cd from Lucy Vanpelt today.  It was perfect since I was cranky about having to work until 11 last night and then having to be BACK to work at 8:30 this morning.  Thanks so much, you made my day!!

Here's the playlist:
Dimps/Atari "Dragonball Z: Budokai 2" Intro Theme
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult "A Daisy Chain 4 Satan" (Acid & Flowers Mix)
ABC "A to Z"
Duran Duran "Bedroom Toys"
Pet Shop Boys "Bet She's not Your Girlfriend"
3kStatic "Brilliant Disguise"
Spies in the Wires "Wiretap"
Felix da Housecat "Do Me What I do"
Cabaret Voltaire "Drink Your Poison"
3kStatic "Drumbeat Litany" (Pacific Mile Remix)
Max Hall -- "Electricity"
3kStatic -- "Tangible Threat (Decomposed Mix)"
Biochemical Dread -- "Indiana Cuba"
Jack Dangers & Tino -- "Kick It Dub"
Ultramarine -- "Lights in my Brain"

My favorite part is that she decorated my CD case with a fantastic retro-kitsch picture that has a recipe involving Oyster Liquer (!?!) on the back!!
