**My camera is a little on the fritz so pics are horrible, but at least now exist! (edited)

This is my second entry for this challenge. I made a tube top out of old BookSox (those stretchy book covers with cool designs) and a denim/plaid skirt. The items inspired me themselves - I have loads of BookSox, denim, and plaid swatches around. I think they were made 2 years ago.

For shirt from bookSox:
- find patterns that look neat and will coordinate
- cut covers into appropiately sized rectangles
- layout and combine
- add hems as desired
{technically this can also be a skirt if you're patient and thin enough}

For plaid/denim skirt:
- cut off legs of jeans, resize butt from back
- attach plaid (or whatever you want) to bottom edge of jeans
- sew up back and hem as necessary, hoping it looks okay

Everyone's stuff looks great so far, keep up the awesome work! {and happy voting}

I love the shirt! I was oogling it awhile ago when I was uploading purse pictures, and saw it in the member's gallery. The fabrics are really neat -- I would never have thought of putting them together, but it seems to be a perfect showcase for them, and the squares are just the right amount of fabric. I love the colours!

I'm a sewer, and artist, and generally all-around creative person with more fabric in my stash than I know what to do with!

I love the idea of the plaid patchwork skirt, very punk in my mind for some reason.

Very cool!  I'd love to see pictures of the skirt with better lighting.  Please!?!
