Please make sure you are not late in any of your other swaps before committing to this one. Please make those swaps your priority.

Claims are made throughout the swap period.  You have three weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim.
You can make as many (or as few) claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a hoopla that has not been received; when that hoopla is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to bring it back up to 2 or 3.) If, at any point, you already have one claim that will be sent out late, please don't claim again until that one is sent out.

FOCs are allowed to make a maximum of 3 outstanding claims.
Non-FOCs are allowed to make a maximum of 2 outstanding claims.
First time swappers are allowed to make a maximum of 1 outstanding claim.

Posting pictures of received hooplas is required for this swap.
If you are unable to do so, you are expected to contact the person who claimed you and ask them to please do so for you.

1. Claims are made using the following procedure:

Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list (see below for formatting of post).
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...

This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer closes out the claiming part of the swap and continues this swap in the next round starting in the next month.

2. How to make a claim:
A claim post should include the following information:
1. The theme you are choosing and who youre sending it to.
2. The send by date (three weeks from the date the claim is made)
3. Statistical info about your current swap claims status:

Claims = Claims currently outstanding (ie., how many not yet received by their new owners.) (This number goes down each time a claim is received, and up each time you make a claim.)
Sent = anything currently in the mail.
Received = the hooplas received by the people you've sent them to.
Formatted thusly (claims outstanding/claims sent/claims received)

4. Your location.
5. Your personal preferences.
6. Your list of themes.
7. *Optional* Any wist or pinterest that would be relevant.

1. Send a personal message to the person you have claimed and request their address

2. You have 3 weeks to complete each hoopla (equivalent to at least a medium or 2 hours in crafting time), and have it in the mail to its new owner. You cannot have more than your maximum allotted claims outstanding (3 for FOC, 2 for non-FOC, 1 for new swappers)

1. Please PM the organizers (Averia & Homerof2) and claimer/claimee when you send or receive a hoopla.
2.  Label the message as Ongoing Hoopla Swap Sent or Received,
3.  Be sure and include (1) the "send by" date, as well as (2) the theme and (3) who sent it

Positive feedback will be given when all of the hooplas you sent have been received.   Good communication is vital and will be noted in feedback.

If you have any questions please post them in the discussion thread or PM the organizers.  This thread is specifically for claims only.

Our first person up is faemystique!

My name is Carey, 35, and I live in Palmer Alaska.  I am a Registered Nurse and work an hour away in Anchorage.  I am originally from Northwestern Wisconsin.  I have two darling teen daughters ages 13 and 14, and a hubby who is going back to school for engineering.  We have a awesome dog Buddy, rescued American Cocker Spaniel and two individual black cats, Harley and Gypsi.  We love the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking.  I am a earthy, hippiesque person who loves to garden, recycle, compost and the like.  I am pretty ecclectic but don't care to receive political or religious items. Fave colors are purple/blue/green, silvers.  Though I am ok with profanity and nudity, we have a slew of other kids in and out of our house, so no need to traumatize them! lol  I want to decorate my different areas in my house besides a HOOPLA wall, see in themes below:

My themes: (asterik by the fave themes)

laundry* (for the newly constructed laundry area)
crafts (I do them ALL, so anything)*
Blue Delft* (my kitchen is decorated in this)
northern lights
sillouette/negative space
day of the dead
quotes from my pinterest folder see link in signature
oriental/asian* (my living room is decorated in this theme with red walls and silver/light gold tones)
alaskan flowers/animals
Letters J, C, B, K
or Names: Jake, Carey, Breanna, Kayleigh, Buddy, Gypsi, Harley
native american
old skeleton keys*
anything inspired by any pinterest boards!
weight loss quotes*

This is my first HOOPLA swap!  I love embroidery, I can't wait, I have been drooling over HOOPLA walls and finally have myself settled in our new house, ready to tackle a collection!

Ooohhh I'm snagging faemystique for Feathers

This is my first claim (1,0,0) Send by May 6th, 2012

Christy here, I'm 38, I live in Jacksonville, Florida. And thanks to the last swap discovered I love doing embroidery...I'm up to 3 stitches and shading now Cheesy I am originally from Michigan but have lived in 11 our great States.  I love birds, fishing, gardening (so far the beets and peas are actually in the ground and the 2 carrots, 2 types of green beans, and the kidneys are sprouting along with a mystery sprout because we lost the nametag, lol)

I will most likely frame what I receive (although if someone could tell me how you keep dust off your hoops without constantly dusting I might go that route after all since they're so cute) but if you want, go ahead and keep your hoop, you'll save on shipping and have the hoop for another project. I can't stand Zombie Themes (really, dont get me started), Nudity (I have kids, and though we're not prudes we tend to keep our tata's to ourselves), cartoon are a no also because of those 3 kids and their shows songs constantly going through my head, or kitsch [shudder] I prefer white, cream, or very black backgrounds, they're the ones that seem to look best in the frames I already have.

So what do I like?  Hmmmmm
~ Saltwater fish (outline only would be awesome)...like Black Drum, Flounder, Sea Bass, Grouper, Perch (if you look at
my profile you'll see the awesome red drum outline I got in another swap)
~ Trees/Woodland Theme (I'm a huge Bob Ross fan because of all his happy little trees)
    ~ Castle Ruins
~ Birds (wrens, crows, sparrows, robins, cardinals)
    ~ Flower Gardens or bouquets
~ Herbs (I've already got the rosemary)
    ~ Mehndi
    ~ Knotwork

My favorite colors are pretty much anything but pastels or neons, I'm also not overly fond of purple, most of my favorite colors can be found simply by taking a walk or hike and of course I gold and silver are lovely too.

      - Mr. Potatoe Head (example, for inspiration, on my hoops board on Pinterest)

Claiming dewshinesdopp for Bad Robot

send by May 8th

Claims 1

Hi! I'm Robin. I really want to make the Bad Robot guy! I live in a little village in Kentucky with my husband and two boys who are 8 and 6. I'm an English professor and an avid, obsessive crafter. I'm learning to sew and I make jewelry. I started cross stitching when I was pregnant with my oldest. I recently learned to embroide and love it. I love any excuse to design new images and learn new stitches.

Woodland creatures
Nature - flowers, trees, stars
Dr. Seuss
baking themes
Disney Princesses
Charlie Brown
Catholic Icons
Ocean life
Tim Burton
Wizard of Oz
Monsters (cutesy)
Wonder Woman
Disney Villains
Tudor History
teddy bears
Adventure Time
sillouette/negative space

Anything inspired by this board: http://pinterest.com/helenapuck/awesome-stitched-items/

I don't have particular colors I prefer or any colors that I dislike. I like busy patterns and solid patterns. Nothing in my house matches, so don't worry about that. I love everything from earthtones to neon colors and I'll put it all on the same wall.

Dislikes: SMOKING, Day of the Dead, altered religious imagery, zombies, bloody, horror or gory, profanity or nudity

-anything from my Pinterest - I have a hoopla board, but feel free to explore the others as well!
