Wink Pardon my cheesy introduction! This is my first challenge ! For this one I made 2 outifts for my kids.. as yes my crafty world revolves mostly around them!
One Day last week while hanging out at the local goodwill with my kids.. My son spotted this in the bedding section-
Im like hmm.. thats kind of cool what is it ?? turns out its a VALANCE! Tristan was SO impressed with the vivid fabric so we bought it .For a buck!
2 days later and with a simplicity its sew easy pattern and a old stained been bleached many times white tee..
we came up with this !
Its a pair of Elastic waist shorts with matching batman themed shirt ! Size 6 for my son Tristan..

While there that day my girly girl 's eye was set upon
it was a buck .. and SO bright I couldnt resist so we bought it too!~ Cheesy

after a night (about 2 hrs or so) of sewing.. and resewing (I sewed the facing on wrong LOL had to rip it out and restart)
we came up with this !

and what is a girls outfit without the accessories ??
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/katmiller792/64058.jpg watermelon on the bow provided by mommys craft stash and hot glued on by valarie w/ supervision. ( yes bow was made by me too!)  just odds n ends I had)

Itsa  elastic waist pr of  pants and a summer shirt that I had to take inthe pattern a little on each side to fit her right. It was a big 5 I guess. but then again shes tiny for her age!

Scooby Doo toddler size bedsheet $1.00
Simplicity its sew easy childrens Pattern (already had) $1.74
look on Valarie Michelles Face  when presented with her "scooby doo attire"  *PRICELESS*

Cheesy Grin Smiley I couldnt resist she is SUCH a girly girl. the whole time she kept saying ," my gosh mommy this is SOOOOO cute"

I was SO LOL while taking pics ! heheheee...

Anyhoo there they are.. I got 2 complete sets for under $7 ..
Im def going to be gravitating towards the bedding more ofter for fabric to use !

Wow, I'm impressed!  When I try to sew anything it takes me so long my kids would grow out of it before I finish!
Your entry is definately my favorite so far!  (And they are all pretty amazing).

That superhero fabric sure made cute shorts, but a hideous valance!  Shocked
