We had a home assessor coming in today and I had to try and close my yarn stuffed closets door...no easy task even with my weight pressing against it! Then as he entered the bedroom a wave of terror struck me that he might open the door and die from a yarnvalanche. Thankfully he just said hi to my cat, scribbled on his paper, and walked out. My new problem is how do I open the door with out the same fate befalling me? Grin

Stand back as you open the door, and then dive in like it's a pile of leaves. Grin

Stand off to the side and use a coat hanger taped to a broom handle to open the door  Tongue

depends on the type of handle, coat hanger on a broom would work if it's a pull down handle, or fix a treat to it so the kitty jumps on it and kitty's weight opens the door, if a good sharp tug would do it then you could tie a string to the handle and tug from a distance, or of course if you're feeling really brave you just stand in the space that will be behind the door, open it and hope the  door is strong enough to protect you from the onslaught, then you just have to wade through it Smiley

The kitty jumping on the handle is my favorite so far since he loves my yarn stash almost as much as I do. Hope everyone is having a great day!
