Awhile ago I found a pattern on the Moda Bake Shop site for a car seat quilt. I really liked the idea of a blanket you could tie on so the baby couldn't kick it off, or it wouldn't slide off onto the ground so I decided to make one of my own for my upcoming baby.

I used the Good Fortune fabric line from Moda.

That's very pretty and I like the idea of the ties.

How beautiful! I've been looking at this pattern and considering making it for a friend. Congratulations on both the quilt and the upcoming child. Smiley

Beautiful Mel! I love blocks set on point! The white sashing looks so fresh and clean!

My feelings exactly!  I have only made one quilt with the blocks on point, but I really think it adds something!

Great job!

Thanks it does give it a nice look. Now I just need to get hold of some boy fabrics and make some more of these.

And thank you everyone else for all your nice comments. It took a lot of ironing, but I think it was worth it.

This is lovely. My LO is a bit bigger, but still in a car seat. Maybe I'll make him one for his new seat.
