"I'm working on the pippi kneestockings, and I'm to the heel turn. And I simply can not figure it out. I have 26 sts like I'm supposed to, but if I follow the pattern, then I'll have 23 sts where I'm supposed to have 24. I'm so confused. Please help."

I copied this post word for word 'cause I am having the EXACT same problem, and no one was able to help poor Sarah out!!!  Hopefully I will be more fortunate.  What am I doing wrong?

Also, at the end of those directions, my yarn is on both needles.  Is that right?

Sorry I can't help you because I haven't made them. However, I checked the Stitch n Bitch errata page (where they correct known mistakes) and wasn't able to find anything about this pattern...

YAY! I'm not the only crazy one that had that problem.
Ok so this was like a year ago and I never actually finished making them.
I finished one sock and then moved on *mental hits self for not completing project*
And I've now decided to make purses out of the yarn instead.
BUT, I believe what I did end up doing was not doing the first ssk under the turn heel.
Which leaves you with 24 sts like they want.
But I don't remember about after that.
Hope that makes sense and was some help.

Yeah, I can't believe that no one else posted about this problem... I think I'm an ANAL pattern follower and instead of just "going with it" I HAVE to know why something is the way it is and not change it... I guess that'll change when I get more comfortable with everything knitting.  So yeah, thanks for your help, I'll give it a shot!
