I made this for Robinpich in embroidery swap round 7, the theme was negative space and silhouette
It is my first time doing any type of embroidery and so it was a very frustrating but exciting experience. All the frustration eventually paid off and I ended up feeling excited and satisfied and mainly addicted to embroidery - cannot wait to do more and try different stitches.
I used all satin stitch. I did try to do romanian couching on part of the hoop but ended up finishing with just satin stitch - so that kinda shows where it's different but I still think it looks ok.

And I am going to borrow these absolutely amazing pictures Robin took of the hoop when she received - I cannot thank her enough for showing off my hard work!

I drew the pumpkin design after I've seen this hoop art on etsy http://www.etsy.com/transaction/59621374

I like it a lot! Your colours are great, the stitching is so neat. And... Pumpkins!

Needless to say, I pinned it Wink

I still can't believe this was your first embroidery!! You did such an amazing job. Your satin stitch is nothing short of amazing.
