For Hanukkah last year, I had wanted to make a skeletal stencil on DH's boxers.  Unfortunately, he was around an awful lot, and I did not have much time by myself to scheme and plot.  I had enough time to blow-up the image at Staples, but not to make the magic happen.  Then, one night last December, he was gone.  I had time.  I cut it out, decided on spray paint (I didn't have fabric paint, nor did I have time to mix fabric medium into my tempera paints), and looked for a place with ventilation.

My porch.  At night.  Without light.  So I sprayed somewhat blindly, hoping the freezer paper would stick in the windy (of course!) evening, hoping I was actually spraying the stencil spaces, and not our table.  Newspaper flapping all over the place, JOY!

Finished product:

Why inside-out, you ask?  Well, DH doesn't like tags, so he wears them inside-out.

Unfortunately, the spray paint bled through whatever I scraped together to line the shorts when I was spraying.  And yes, it looks like blood.  Joy.  Wonderment.  Live and learn.

In spite of it all, I think they're cute, if somewhat rag-tag...

Ok I recognize that sassy model from....was it strawberry something, skirt?  In a purse.  I know there was a purse, and I'm re-giggling just thinking about it.  If I'm wrong I apologize.  Too tired to do the proper search.  But yeah this guy cracks me up.  Takes a BIG man to show off his booty like that with inside-out undershorts on the internets.

Anyway it's a great idea to put the skeletal stencils on underwear.  It would look really cool on a set of long-johns, like a whole-body thing...
