A friend of mine posted a picture on facebook of a mixed media piece that uses the quote and very similar design elements in the 2 that I made.  I don;t know who the original artist was, but if anyone knows I'd love to link to her as it was obviously heavily inspired by her piece.

This quote rang true for me in many ways, but being that my husband is fighting cancer & we are having a battle with his insurance company regarding PET scans right now, it really hit home. I immediately made 2 of them.  One for my friend who posted it & one for me.  Mine is already hanging as shown & hers is ready for a lunch date drop off <3

I used a 13" canvas stretcher for a frame.  The collage is card stock with layers of book pages, acrylic paint, stamps, inks, paper doilies, bleeding tissue paper, spray fabric paint, cardboard & lots of different embossing powders.  I had a lot of fun on the background.  The hanging cord is random yarns braided & attached with upholstery tacks.

Very inspirational and very beautiful - I love the colors that you used and how the frames are very mixed- media too.

Sending good thought and wishes to you and your family!
