Here is my granny blanket, made of scrap yarn. I started years ago, found out I hadn't scraps enough - and even if it is cheating, I bought some extra yarn  Embarrassed - and finally finished it. My daughter liked it very much, so I gave it to her as a Christmass present.

eye-catching!  The colors go together nicely--did you use any particular type of yarn?

Thank you  Cheesy! No, I just used all kinds of yarn, different textures and all. I preferred wool, but there are some cotton and also some acrylic blends. The colors was very different, but I think the sky-blue helped tying them together.
