Hello  Grin
I just thought I'd check in and share a funny/gross story with all of you about the project that I'm making for SAHMama...  I have been working on a pair of Hobo gloves for her for about a week now & bring them with me everywhere...  I'm about 90% finished the first one and am cursing the days for passing too quickly  Undecided  (That's not the funny/gross part)
Yesterday morning when I was getting out of my car at work, I wasn't paying attention to the knitting needles sticking out of my purse...  I was in a hurry & my purse got wedged between the door frame and my thigh & one of the needles stabbed me!!!  I'm talking an inch deep hole in the centre of my left thigh!!!  YUCK!  After staring in shock for a few seconds, I pulled it out of my leg, wiped my tears (I'm a baby Grin) and limped to my office.  It was interesting having to explain to my (non-crafty) coworkers why I was hobbling around all day...  I even had to take the elevator to go downstairs cos it hurt too much to take the stairs!
Don't worry, SAHMama...  Your gloves are safe (and not bloody).  I'm NOT using that needle for your project  Shocked
Thankfully it is a lot less painful today and I think I'll live...  We were all joking about me succumbing to a freak knitting needle infection and being featured in the Darwin Awards or that terrible 1,000 Ways to Die tv show....   Smiley
Moral of the story:  Be careful where you stick your needles!!

We've been dealing with sickness around here with my poor little girl so I'm sorry I haven't gotten these up sooner. I received a wonderful package the other day from the amazing wx2dzug!!

She made this awesome perpetual calendar!! She used (I think) fabric covered buttons and put a little magnet in each grid on the calendar so they can be changed for every month easily. There's extra solid covered place markers and some print so that I have extras for different months. I just love the whimsy-ness of it! She also sent a tea steeper and some vanilla beans!!!

Better angle of calendar

Thanks so much!!!!

Sorry I've been MIA. We've had a little of everything here... medical issues, funerals, family obligations, on top of the normal stuff raising 2 little ones with my husband starting a new business that he's running out of our not-big-enough-to-be-an-office-and-a-home house). Sorry!

I'm uber late with my claim for klg_jlg, in part because of all the craziness and in part because I have no idea how long things take. Why is it that I come up with an idea and think that I can whip it up in no time & then it takes FOREVER?? I think I have a lot more confidence in my crafting abilities than I should! But it's nearly done & then I just have to add some stuff to make it a super-de-duper awesome package because I feel terrible about how late it is  Embarrassed

OMG Koreena! I can't believe you stuck yourself with a knitting needle! I'm so sorry! I feel kinda responsible because you were working on something for me! I hope it's healing okay.

I received from IdlersDesign the other day. I've been having trouble with my camera and computer cooperating, but I finally got the pictures. She sent me some super-awesome pants for my boys. My older one loves red and the younger one loved yellow and look how adorable these are! I just love them and even my husband couldn't stop talking about how cute they are. The boys are thrilled and they fit great!

And she sent me a wetbag with this awesome fabric! I love citrus fruits Smiley

Thanks so much IdlersDesign!

Your boys look cute and I'm happy to see the pants fit!
Hope things will be better/calmer for you soon.

Hi everyone Smiley

I received my awesome package from TroubleT last week ~ My apologies for the delay in posting photos!

Here it is:

As you can see~ I received not only some great blue armwarmers, but also some sorely needed & much appreciated crochet hooks, some colourful embroidery floss & a perfect-sized notebook SmileySmileySmiley  The butterfly square in the centre of the shot is a cute little "Happy Birthday" card from her to me ~ so thoughtful!

Here is a silly "action shot" of the wristwarmers~ so you can see the gorgeous colours of the yarn & TroubleT's flawless craftsmanship:

Thank you again!!!

I received the other day from SAHM!!
She embellished these house slippers.

This lovely Hoopla <3!!

And look at this amazing beaded hoop!!

She also sent a knitting magazine and a bunch of yarn, but those had to go away from little sticky hands. =)

Thanks so much!!
